Government revises minimum remuneration of employee

The Government of Nepal has revised the minimum remuneration of employee to Rs 8,000 per month. The minimum remuneration of employee formally come into effect from Jestha 27, 2013 i.e. June 10, 2013 after the Government published notice in the gazette.  Prior to this, minimum remuneration of employee was Rs 6,200 per month.

The remuneration includes five thousand one hundred (Rs 5,100) as basic pay and the rest two thousand nine hundred (Rs2,900) as a dearness allowance. Whereas daily wages of labor is revised to Rs 318 from Rs 231.
